2021 Best Places to Work in Los Angeles

Every year, the Los Angeles Business Journal hosts the Best Places to Work in Los Angeles, a survey and awards program. The program is dedicated to identifying and recognizing the best employers in Los Angeles and also provides participating organizations with valuable employee feedback.

The survey consists of two parts. The first part evaluates each nominated company's workplace experience and company culture. This first part accounts for 75% of the total evaluation. The second part consists of an employee survey to measure the company's benefits, policies, practices and other general information. The second part of the process is worth 25% of the total evaluation. Together, the combined scores determine the top companies and the final rankings. An independent research firm named Best Companies Group (BCG) manages the entire program and analyzes the data to provide the final rankings.

A highlighted focus in the 2021 survey was employee mental health, diversity, and adapting to remote/hybrid work environments. With the pandemic disrupting workplace environments and the call for social change, the survey reported polls on these highlighted focuses to measure if companies have adapted to these major events.
