Trade Shows We're Attending In 2024

This year is off to a strong start, with three shows already behind us and several more in the future. We just wrapped up our biggest show of the year, Natural Products Expo West. February was our first trade show in the UK, Packaging Innovations & Empack, and we also attended two IFT Suppliers’ Night events in the Pacific Northwest. We kicked off 2024 with the always fun Winter Fancy Food Show in Vegas, where the samples never seem to end! It’s been a busy first quarter, and we are motivated to keep the ball rolling.

Trade shows are a vital platform for companies to remain competitive in this dynamic market landscape. They present a unique opportunity to connect with potential customers, establish partnerships, and gain insights about emerging industry trends. Attending trade shows can significantly contribute to business growth, especially for those in the early stages of establishment or seeking expansion.

1. SFA’s Winter Fancy Food Show - Las Vegas, NV

The Specialty Food Association’s (SFA) Winter Fancy Foods was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center January 20-23. We had a great time connecting with new and existing customers and had lots of great conversations about what brands are looking for when it comes to their packaging and supply chain needs.

The annual Winter Fancy Food Show offers a platform for food makers and buyers to connect and showcase their products. The event provides opportunities for networking, sampling, and education, attracting thousands of industry professionals and facilitating new business relationships and growth. The SFA also presents the Summer Fancy Food annually in New York, we’ll be there too!

2 Packaging Innovations - Birmingham, UK

Paramount made its UK trade show debut at Packaging Innovations & Empack, and it was a very successful show! The show took place on February 21-22 at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham. Our UK team has been busy following up with all the leads from the show ever since!

This two-day event showcased the entire packaging supply chain, giving attendees an opportunity to experience the future of packaging solutions. It consisted of three focused shows: Packaging Innovations, Empack, and Contract Pack & Fulfillment. These shows collectively served as a platform for brands to network, learn, and source ideas for enhancing their packaging strategies. 3 Natural Products Expo West - Anaheim, CA

Natural Products Expo West is a massive multi-day event hosted by Informa Markets, where the whole natural products industry comes together to network and showcase their products. It was held at the Anaheim Convention Center from March 14-16.

Expo West is the leading trade show for the natural, organic, and healthy products industry. It is the largest collection of emerging and pioneering brands and a great opportunity to connect with other professionals in the industry, learn about new products and trends, and network with potential partners and customers.

IFT Suppliers Night Events

The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) is a community of food scientists and technologists who work together to advance the science of food. IFT is committed to supporting the changing needs of its members and the food industry while promoting continuous improvement and innovation. Many IFT Regional Sections hold Supplier’s events where food professionals can discover the latest ingredients and new concepts. These Suppliers’ Night events are an intimate tabletop trade show for the food service, dairy, meat, seafood, bakery, nutraceutical, and pharmaceutical industries. Last year, we attended the NCIFT and SCIFT Suppliers’ Night Events in California.

This year, Paramount is attending five regional IFT Suppliers Night events:

4. Portland IFT Section - February 26 in Portland, OR

5. Cascadia IFT Section - February 27 in Cascadia, WA

6. Northern California IFT Section - April 23 in Alameda, CA

7. Rocky Mountains IFT Section - September 19 in Denver, CO

8. Long Horn IFT Section - November 21 in Frisco, TX

9. Summer Fancy Food Show - New York City, NY

Following the Winter Fancy Food Show, the SFA’s 68th Summer Fancy Food Show will be held June 23-25 at the Javits Center in New York. Serving up the newest and best in specialty food and beverage, the Summer Fancy Food Show is a must-attend event for anyone in the specialty food industry. It is the largest trade-only specialty food event in the United States and attracts thousands of diverse makers, buyers, brokers, distributors, and other industry professionals from across the globe.

10. Newtopia Now - Denver, CO

Inspired by the changing needs of the industry, New Hope Network has introduced a brand-new event concept called Newtopia Now. This event aims to provide a more personalized and intentional approach to connection and product discovery, offering opportunities for brands to participate meaningfully regardless of where they are in their lifecycle. It includes curated matchmaking, increased avenues for new and emerging brands, imaginative product discovery opportunities, and a chance for industry leaders to co-create the future of the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry. Newtopia Now replaces Natural Products Expo East and will launch its first show on August 25-28 in Denver, Colorado.

Initially set to take place in Savannah, GA, New Hope announced the move in an email saying: "The Colorado Convention Center is the ideal location to accommodate everything that the Newtopia Now experience will entail, including the unique neighborhood layout, exhibit spaces, and networking and learning opportunities. In addition to having many brands and buyers in the region, Denver’s central location makes direct flight access easy from anywhere in the country, and late August is a beautiful time to be in Colorado, so we can network in nature in the most eco-friendly city in the country."

11. London Packaging Week - London, UK

London Packaging Week is happening September 11-12 at ExCeL London. This show focuses on the packaging industry and offers four separate events for luxury, beauty, drinks, and FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods). London Packaging Week promises access to over 170 leading packaging suppliers and showcases innovative solutions in design, sustainability, branding, and e-commerce. Attendees can engage in discussions, meet potential suppliers, and address their innovation hurdles through a free-to-attend conference program and networking opportunities.

We are looking forward to being a first-time exhibitor at London Packaging Week. This show is an exceptional opportunity for us to stay at the cutting edge of industry trends and make meaningful connections to drive growth for our international business.

12. SupplySide West - Las Vegas, NV

SupplySide West is the leading event on the West Coast for dietary supplements, food and beverage, personal care, and animal nutrition. The show will take place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas from October 28-31 with the expo hall open October 30-31.

Every year, SupplySide West brings together thousands of buyers and suppliers for networking and education. Held together with Food ingredients North America (FiNA), this event connects CPG dietary supplement and food & beverage manufacturers with a global array of ingredient suppliers and distributors to support the growing global health and wellness market.
