CASCC Suppliers' Day 2023 Recap

The California Society of Cosmetic Chemists (CASCC) held its Suppliers Day event from October 25th to 26th, 2023, at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California. The California Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists is one of 19 regional chapters within the national organization comprised of over 5,000 members.

Paramount Global was a first-time exhibitor at the CASCCs’ Suppliers Day event. With more than 4,000 attendees and over 300 exhibitors, it was an excellent opportunity to network and forge new business relationships, as well as strengthen our existing ones.

The event featured a diverse lineup of keynote speakers, panels, and educational sessions that covered various aspects of personal care. These sessions encompassed topics ranging from raw material synthesis and manufacturing processes to laboratory and clinical analyses, as well as the most recent regulatory updates. Throughout the event, knowledgeable speakers not only addressed the industry's latest trends but also shared their insights, sparking innovative and thought-provoking discussions.

The event featured keynote presentations on marine extracts, oral care, antioxidant protection, SPF boosting, the skinification of the scalp, leading innovations in skin care, challenges of OTCs, and green chemistry on day one. Day two covered ingredient discovery, career advice, myths and misconceptions in beauty, claims testing, 10 steps to product development, preservative testing, and hygiene issues with natural preservation, among other topics.
