Project Sunscreen is Recognized in NACD's 2020 Packaging Awards

The National Association of Container Distributors (NACD) hosted their annual packaging awards in May to recognize the most innovative packages released during the previous year. This year, there were more than 140 total submissions spread across 12 categories. Paramount Global was honored with awards in two categories; a Silver in Best Use of Stock Components and a Bronze in Personal Care.

Paramount Global worked with Project Sunscreen, an Aussie inspired, Los Angeles based provider of sunscreen products, to develop a package that would encourage children to self-apply their own sunscreen. Project Sunscreen was searching for a solution that was aesthetically fun, portable, and easy to use. Inspired by the roll-on sunscreen packages used in Australia, a stock rollerball bottle was chosen as the foundation of this award winning package. Working closely with Project Sunscreen, Paramount was tasked with sourcing the components to bring the package to life.

The product has been well received in the market and Project Sunscreen has now expanded to offer products for both teens and adults. Together, Project Sunscreen and Paramount Global successfully transformed a stock dispensing system into a unique and fresh product that breaks through traditional sunscreen packaging. Paramount Global is honored to have been a part of Project Sunscreen’s innovative product design and receiving recognition from the NACD 2020 Packaging Awards.
